Is it time to upgrade the factory GM rubber coupler bushings in your C5 or C6 Corvette driveshaft? Until now the only upgrade was a solid mount and for a street car this was not a great choice. The factory GM driveshaft bushings flex, which is important in your driveline as a little flex will keep the transmission and differential in working order. Going to a solid mount will eliminate this flex altogether and stress the aluminum driveshaft until it could possibly break or cause transmission and/or differential damage. Why risk it?

Now you can have the best of both worlds; the new Prothane Six Shooter coupler. It is aluminum with polyurethane bushing inserts so you get the strength of the aluminum solid mount with just the right amount of flex provided by the polyurethane bushing to protect your Corvette's driveline. If your Corvette's factory rubber mount is worn out this is a perfect way to upgrade. If you are a weekend racer this upgrade is a must, and you can avoid the added expenses that solid mounts can avoid the added expenses that solid mounts can cause. 2 required per Corvette.
